Promotional Methods

I will promote my magazine in various different methods however i would like to have a huge focus on the first sales as this is the stage where 'buzz' needs to be generated in order to ensure that my magazine will be sucsessful and ultimately sell. It will also be the very first issue and will therefore have had a lot of money invested into the promotion, i will do this via mostly billboards around areas that i feel my target audience are mostly likely to see and also i will do a load of my promotion with social media. 

As i have already mentioned on my blog, my magazine will have a website and instagram account, however as a promotional factor, i would like to build a lot more on social media. I think it is important to have an account for my magazine on every big, social media site as this will boost my magazines accessibility and attract a wider audience range. Also my primary target audience of 16 to 25 year old are perfect for using social networking as a form of promotion. 

I will also have billboards, this will be mainly to get the magazines logo/masthead known and memorable to an audience. As my logo is quite plain however bold and effective it will be able to be seen from a distance and have an impacting effect when it comes down to being memorable, the bright purple colouring will make it quite hard to miss. 

By doing this, i will gain online followers who will be able to keep up to date with my magazine 24 hours a day, this will result in a consistent interest in the magazine, not to mention the added promotion of the billboards will cater for the audience members in my audience range that might still not be too interested in the social media aspect or simply just boost the magazines profile on social media and resulting in even more followers, ending in a much larger rise in sales.
